EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Amy lives in Southwest Harbor with her 4-legged love, Brady. Amy has been the Executive Director of MDNA since January 2021 and has been an RN since 1995. She has a vast array of experiences from her first RN role at MDI Hospital, camp nurse, travel RN, pediatric RN, unit manager of pediatrics as well as manager of both pediatric and adult ICUs. In 2020 Amy relocated to “home” where she was born and raised. Previously, she was living in PA and working as the Director of Quality and Clinical Excellence and Magnet. When time permits, Amy enjoys cooking, traveling, photography, and following her favorite band around the country!

CLINICAL MANAGER

Katie Verville lives in Ellsworth with her husband, their two boys and their yellow lab Gronk! Katie has been an occupational therapist for 9 years, and started with MDNA as their first OT in 2018. In 2022, Katie joined the administrative team as the Clinical Manager. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, a good cup of coffee, and traveling.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Amanda lives in Hancock with her sister, who is a per diem nurse with MDNA, and their two dogs. When she is not working with the amazing people at Mount Desert Nursing Association, you can find her hiking, riding her motorcycle, or spending time with her family. Amanda’s experience in healthcare and public safety has given her a solid foundation to assist in MDNA's mission.

DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Megan joined the team in 2023 and works on everything related to fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. She is a University of Southern California grad, Teach for America alum, and Fulbright grant recipient to Laos. She lives in Bar Harbor with her partner and enjoys writing, swimming year-round, and playing the drums.

CREATIVE CONSULTANT

Chiori lives on MDI with her partner and daughter. Chiori has been the Creative Consultant for MDNA for about 12 years, but has been with MDNA since 2009. She loves art, books, all seasons on MDI and the different activities that come with each, and eating great food with family and friends.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Brianne lives in Bar Harbor with her husband Josh, their son Braden and their dog, Boone. Brianne has been a PT for 21 years and started with MDNA when she moved back from Seattle in 2021. In her free time, Brianne enjoys hiking in the park, traveling, spending time outdoors with her family and coaching/playing basketball.

PER DIEM REGISTERED NURSE

Julie lives on Deer Isle with her husband. She has been a nurse for 35 years and has been with MDNA since 2018. Julie loves thrifting and refinishing and reupholstering furniture in her free time; you can find her booth at the Old Creamery Antique Mall in Ellsworth.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Jim lives in Otis with his wife, 3 kids, and a myriad of animals on their small animal farm. Jim has been an occupational therapist for the past 29 years and has been a staff member at MDNA since 2022. In his free time, Jim enjoys hanging out with friends, gaming with his kids, and playing music with his band, as well as traveling when he is able to get away.

REGISTERED NURSE

Sara lives in Somesville with her husband Stephen and their two cats, Molly and Maggie. She is has been a nurse for 54 years and with MDNA since 2009. In her free time, she loves gardening, swimming, and reading. It brings her so much joy to help people stay in their homes.

Katy lives in Bar Harbor with her family. She has been a Physical Therapist since 2013 and has been with MDNA since 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors in all seasons.

Pam lives in Southwest Harbor with her chocolate labrador, 10-year old Venice, and black labrador, 6-year old Jersey. Pam has been an RN for 37 years, and with MDNA since 2018. She loves crafting, enjoying Acadia, and spending time with family and friends.

Brandie lives in Hancock with her sister Amanda and their two dogs, Gizmo and Meeko. Brandie has been a RN for the past 6 years and has been a staff member at MDNA since 2023. In her free time, Brandie enjoys reading and hiking with her sister and pups.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Amanda lives in Seal Cove with her husband, two kids, and four dogs. Amanda has been a physical therapist assistant for the past 22 years and has been a staff member at MDNA since 2024. In her free time she is with her family enjoying the kids’ sporting events.

Kyla grew up in Bar Harbor and now lives in Ellsworth with her husband and their black lab Archie. She is a new Occupational Therapist excited to begin her OT journey! Having joined MDNA in 2024, she is excited to bring her passion for helping others to the forefront while learning from seasoned professionals. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in OT with a focus on providing Mental Health Occupational Therapy services. Outside of work and studies, she loves spending time with friends and family and enjoys hobbies like writing, reading and being outdoors.
